Fiction Story Episode 77 – “Donut Sprinkles”

We almost missed another call from Dr. Haselnuss because of Kuno’s sudden recovery. There were lots of things to discuss since this mysterious incident at university. “How’s it going so far?” Knut asked, as I picked up. “Green light, Doctor”, I replied. “Every one of us is prepared for the flight.” Knut’s voice sounded excited :”Excellent! We are going to start tomorrow 7a.m. sharp in front of my laboratory. Do you want to come over with your luggage and grab some coffee?” After a quick glance towards Arina and Kuno told him that we’re in. Normally we would have walked to Knut’s Laboratory but all the bags and Suitcases were too much to handle. In addition we had to keep an eye on Kuno. Seemingly endless 30 Minutes and a quick taxi ride later we stood at the laboratories’ Gates. “I’m so happy you are here!” Knut welcomed us. He and Dieter Schönberg gave us a hand storing our luggage in their family van. Over coffee and sprinkled dougnuts, Arina and I told Dr. Haselnuss everything that happened to Kuno; beginning with the eerie mysterious glowing stone from Professor Leadhart, followed by the unusual power outage and Kuno’s paralysis. “Very interesting!” Knut had listened with great attention and somehow I could see in his eyes that he already knew something about this kind of stone.
